When God speaks…
Have you ever heard God speak?
A silent whisper
A gentle nudge
A warm embrace
A slight brush…
the nudge to take a left
or not turn at all.
today he nudged me
a nudge to be silent.
quiet. wait he says. it is all coming to pass.
he also nudged me to be still
in the stillness he speaks
I can even hear my heart beat
and the beat of those I love.
I hear that which isn’t even near me
and he says…
“to thine own self be true”
no matter what others say or make up,
to thine own self be true…
with that nudge today
unwavering, unmovable, unshakable
I will…be “still”
and wait “until”…
