SELF ASKS

self asks, "why am I here?"
and Spirit replies, "you are here to become love."
self asks, "and what is love?"
and Spirit replies, ”love is all that created you and all that sustains you."
"love is the forgiveness
you seek and the mercy for which you beg."
"love is the tenderness you imagine and the compassion which you imitate."
"love is every virtue and every passion known to man - every breeze and every wind - each and every flower."
"love is the smoky mountaintop - and the valley lying low and covered with morning dew."
"love is what becomes you, relects your spirit and seeks you out in a storm."
"love is that elusive quality desired by all creations for all creations.""love is knowing God and desiring to serve all of humanity."
"love is beyond all comprehension and part of all that is."
"love is within your grasp, yet can never be captured - only discovered and kept in your heart like a secret waiting to be told."
self asks, "how can I find love?"
land Spirit replies "love comes to those who wait in patience for the mountain to move and the river to rest."
"love can be found in the quiet moments of solitude and prayer."
"love is discovered in service to mankind and in selfless acts of charity to the poor and the needy."
self asks, "when shall I know I have found love?"
and Spirit replies, "when your
heart knows no boundaries, when your spirit soars and cares more of others than of yourself."
self asks, "and what shall I do
with love?"
and Spirit replies, "you will give it away."
"you will become a fountain of crystal water which gives refreshment to the thirsty."
"your love will become the rich, fertile earth and reap spiritual food
for the hungry."
self asks, "and how will I preserve this love?"
and Spirit replies, "this love is preserved by giving it away - the more of it you give away the more you will receive."
"this love is magnified and multiplied."
"this love never sleeps
but lingers in your twilight and rises with you in the dawn."
"it is beside you always - to the left of you and to the right."
"this love is so pure, so bright and so amazing that your eyes cannot comprehend its greatness."
"you can only sing its praise and live in its glory."
self says, "I want this love."
and Spirit replies, "and in your asking it shall be yours!"
