Alignment or Re-Alignment - Who Needs an Adjustment?

I sat with the beautiful Valonda Calloway on the My Carolina Today show and we talked briefly about the concept of Body Placement and what that all means.

Body Placement! Oooh, it sounds so mysterious, doesn’t it?

First, I must say that Body Placement is a term I use to illustrate the importance of where you place your body. Often times we’re not fully conscious of why we find ourselves in any given place. We just do what we do and go where we go. Not a lot of forethought is given as to why, we just do it, right?

On a good day, you might ask yourself the question, should I go here or should I go there. The true power lives in that sweet spot within from which you ask the question.

Let’s look at Body Placement for a minute.

First of all it is one “component” of five within a tool we call The P3 Circles of Life™.

The P3 Circles of Life™ are The Spiritual Self” where vision and purpose lives, "The Emotional Self" where thoughts feelings and emotions reside and "The Physical Self" where “Image, Organization, Health and Nutrition, Body Placement and Time Management live.

We have determined that this tool is most effective when all circles are in congruency. Without vision, thought and body alignment and congruency , we’re simply meandering through life hoping and wishing for fleeting moments of focus and bliss.

So it’s critical that you find your purpose, get your emotions in check to be in alignment with vision and take the necessary actions which are given to you in the physical self.

Now, open the door to discuss The Physical Self; aspect, Body Placement.

If you are clear about vision, and your emotions are in alignment with the vision, you can now ask yourself a few questions:

Who will aid in fostering my vision?

Who can elevate me to be a high achiever in my vision?

Who can call me to be greater than I know myself to be?

Where do I need to find myself going day in and day out?

What activities do I engage myself in?

What organizations shall I associate myself with?

What company shall I keep?

Who shall I find myself mingling with?

What activities shall I eliminate that are out of alignment with my vision?

These are just a few questions that will begin to dictate your body placement. Once you start strategically placing your body in areas of alignment, you’ll find life is much more fulfilling and rewarding.

Give it a try! But first know your vision, know yourself and be true to your authentic self.

Feel free to contact me directly for your P3 Power Session where we will begin the journey of discovery. It will be the best 60 minutes of your life. Remember, body placement is all about “alignment”.

The President’s Corner: Powerful or Helpless? You Choose.

By Lisa Thomas

A few weeks ago I was getting ready for an interview for TV and I noticed that I was a little nervous. For me that’s normal so I kind of brushed it to the side and went on to do the segment. After the interview was complete, my mind was going faster than a NASCAR at the weekend race. I couldn’t stop my brain from spinning about what had just happened. All of sudden I could hear the critical voice in my head. But My God, how did it really go? My husband called me immediately and said honey you are really good, you really should consider doing something on TV. Then a colleague called and said, WOW, you were really good. I watched it three times to make sure. You really were. Why couldn’t I hear my husband and colleague clearly?

The most dominating voice was mine still, Jesus how many people watched it? Was my hair in place? Had I said the right thing? Did the message come across? What will people think? Did I have an impact? That voice was clear so I stopped for a minute to listen more carefully. I recognized it because I’d heard it before. And while it initially sounded like mine, it was that of an old teacher when I was younger who marked my paper with red ink. I don’t remember her name, but I do remember having to go to a special class because she said I needed additional assistance in school. She gave me a pretty extensive lesson in doing things the "right way." What an impact I could’ve allowed that past moment to make. The funny thing about the voice is it was clear and it seemed very real, but there wasn’t a physical being there talking with or to me. No one was with me at the time.

Most of us think what we say about ourselves is the truth and particularly the negative things. The moment of power was when I could choose how to relate to the thoughts and opinions. I first recognized and acknowledged it was a past moment speaking as if it was relevant to the present moment. The voice was not mine nor was there any truth to the opinions being shared in the moment.

Where the power lies is in how you react or relate to your negatives thoughts about yourself or life in general.

I then chose a different path of thinking. I chose to embrace my own power, my ability to share passionately and give a message that people can embrace on or off TV. I could then really "hear" and enjoy the raving fans and the accolades being given for such a wonderful interview.

How many of you having an internal critical voice that shares opinionated views about your life whether solicited or unsolicited? How do you choose to react or relate to those thoughts? Powerfully or Helplessly? You do have a choice! What IS your choice?

From The President’s Corner: Get in the Driver’s Seat!

By Lisa Thomas

I was engaged in a trial coaching call with a great woman recently and we were talking candidly about her vision. She had struggled with finances for quite some time and lost some of her passion and zeal for life, so she thought a session with me would impact that area.

After years of being in this type of work, it doesn’t take very long to discover one’s vision. If each of us is willing to "open our mind" to our heart’s desire, a vision will clearly emerge. To this woman’s surprise, the vision did quickly emerge. In fact, it had always been there. She had clarified that vision 20 years before but was not living out of it or making it happen. In fact, it’s on one of her many business cards and even her license plate!

Some of us struggle with clarity of our vision while others are very clear but wonder how to have it manifest itself into the world. One major barrier is finances, thus purpose or vision may never be pursued at ones fullest potential. This woman’s struggle was that very thing! I thought it befitting to share a book with her called "The Secrets of The Millionaire Mind" by T. Harv Eker. We spoke in depth about how she can manage her finances to assist in expanding her vision, rather than finances being the barrier.

Eker’s book is written with the intention to shift the mindset about money. It’s worth reading a number of times. Sometimes we simply need a few pieces of information to have life all come together. In this woman’s case, it was embracing and owning her vision and having some information about how to manage money effectively so that her vision could grow and expand.

T. Harv Eker speaks about and makes suggestions regarding percentages of income/revenue and how to put you in the driver’s seat of your life when it comes to finances. For example, only 50% of your income should be spent on necessities while 10% goes to investments, 10% short term savings, 10% education, 10% to give away and 10% for fun. I highly recommend the book. Read it again and again until the information becomes your mantra.

The woman I spoke of earlier is excited. In fact, she called the next day and left a message singing "I got passsssionnn, I got passion." What a wonderful message to receive. It certainly lifted me to higher heights for the day!

I believe the power lives within you and you deserve to be in the driver’s seat of every aspect of your life…So dare to learn more. Knowledge is POWER.

The President’s Corner: Embrace Life!

By Lisa Thomas

I was sitting in my office today looking at a white sheet of paper. I couldn’t seem to find the words to convey to you, so I just sat there staring. The white sheets seemed dark and lonely. What could I place on this lonely page to make it come alive? I mean no answers came, no overwhelming thoughts rushed to the forefront of my mind, nor did inspiration overtake me. I was stuck in the moment. Have you ever had days like that? You’re stuck and you’re stumped with no answers, no motivation or action to take. Most of us have experienced that a time or two in our lives haven’t we? What do you do when that happens?

Funny, the words come to me as I allowed my heart to speak through me. I placed the pen to paper and let the words flow easily and freely. Without worry or concern about doing it right or saying the right thing, the words came. As they began to flow, something magical happened. My inspiration was bubbling up, my motivation was beginning to emerge and the message I wanted to deliver was very clear.

It was that moment I "tried" to write something earth shattering that I couldn’t. And it was when I just gave in to my heart that words came. The magnificent art of allowing my heart to sing opened me up to write a wonderful message that will touch someone’s life.

How often do we stop allowing ourselves to be free? We "try" too hard or we attempt to make things happen. However life is a free flowing experience. Grass never strains to grow nor does the water in the seas therefore nor should life. It is a free flowing experience if we "allow" it be.

Are you embracing and allowing life to emerge or hindering life from blossoming? Give yourself the gift of embracing life and allowing your heart to sing.

YES, "allow" your heart to sing!

A few steps:

1. Let your heart sing.
2. Let your mind be free.
3. Allow your thoughts to roam.
4. Give into the moment.
5. Write it all down and let it be without judgment.

You might be blown away by the beautiful message that emerges from you and the amazing level of peace of experience after you’ve done so.

The power lives within you and it’s always been there, you just have to let it come through you!
